The Library of Congress in Washington will house the world’s largest public collection of television promos when it adds the Promax&BDA Collection to its Motion Picture, Broadcasting and Recorded Sound Division.

The collection contains more than 10,000 internationally recognized promos compiled by trade association Promax&BDA, which hands out a number of awards honoring the best in broadcast design, copywriting, promotion and packaging.

Promax&BDA’s contribution to the library commemorates the trade group’s 50th year in the electronic media industry.
