Jordan Wertlieb has been named president and general manager of Hearst-Argyle-owned WBAL-TV, the NBC affiliate in Baltimore.

Mr. Wertlieb, who has been general sales manager of the station for six years, succeeds Bill Fine, who was announced Wednesday as the next president and general manager of sister station WCVB-TV in Boston.

Barbara Anderson, WBAL-TV’s local sales manager since 1997, has been promoted to general sales manager.

The promotions are effective Aug. 1.
