“Good Morning America” made the official announcement Thursday that two Emmy-winning correspondents are joining the show.

Elisabeth Leamy, who already had debuted this week, is the new “GMA” consumer correspondent, replacing Greg Hunter. Mike Barz, the former morning sports anchor for Chicago’s WGN-TV, long known to be headed for “GMA,” will be a feature correspondent.

“They are both experienced, excellent reporters who will bring energy and ideas to the program,” said Ben Sherwood, executive producer of “GMA.”
