Discovery’s Shark Week Lures Viewers

Discovery Channel’s 18th edition of Shark Week drew its largest household audience since 2001, according to figures released by the network. The week of shark-themed programming, which ran July 17-21, garnered an average prime-time household rating of 1.5.

The week kicked off with a “Jaws” edition of “MythBusters,” which received a 2.1 rating, the highest-rated Discovery show for the week.
