Ken Ehrlich, who produced the most recent Grammy Awards telecast, has been named executive producer of the “57th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards,” scheduled to air Sunday, Sept. 18, on CBS. The announcement was made Tuesday by Nina Tassler, president of CBS Entertainment, and Dick Askin, chairman and CEO of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Mr. Ehrlich, who recently executive produced “The 47th Annual Grammy Awards,” has produced 25 Grammy Award telecasts and created and produced the “MTV Movie Awards,” “VH1 Honors” and VH1’s “Divas” series. His credits also include “Genius: A Night for Ray Charles,” “Sports Illustrated’s 20th Century Sports Awards” and “The Fifth Annual Latin Grammy Awards.” He has also produced music specials for Faith Hill, Celine Dion, Elton John, Backstreet Boys, Shania Twain and Ricky Martin on CBS.

This will mark Mr. Ehrlich’s second time executive producing the Primetime Emmy Awards. He produced the “32nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards” in 1980.

Nominations for the Primetime Emmys will be announced July 14 at 5:39 a.m. (PT) from the Academy’s Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in North Hollywood, Calif.
