NBC Promotes Zigler, Frank

NBC has promoted marketing executive Vivi Zigler to executive VP of current programs and named Ted Frank executive VP of entertainment strategy and programs. The announcement was made Tuesday by Kevin Reilly, president of NBC Entertainment.

Ms. Zigler, who most recently served as senior VP of marketing and advertising services for The NBC Agency and previously oversaw marketing and advertising for Bravo, will report to Mr. Reilly. Erin Gough Wehrenberg, who continues as senior VP of current series for NBC Entertainment, will report to Ms. Zigler.

Ms. Zigler was named senior VP of advertising services for The NBC Agency in March 2003, but her role was expanded to include all marketing for the NBC-acquired Bravo cable network, where she worked on campaigns for “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” and “Celebrity Poker.” She had been VP of affiliate advertising and promotion services for NBC Entertainment since November 1996.

Before joining NBC Ms. Zigler was director of marketing and advertising at KING-TV in Seattle.

Mr. Frank, who most recently was executive VP of current programs will continue to report to Mr. Reilly. His responsibilities include the management of the entertainment associates program. In addition, he will lead product integration initiatives and network support to digital media.

He was named executive VP of current programs in May 2004. He has served as senior VP of current series since 1999 and as VP of prime-time series since 1994. Previously, Mr. Frank worked on the development of the comedy “Will & Grace” and supervised production of NBC series such as “Law & Order,” “Friends,” “ER” and “The West Wing.” He joined NBC in 1975 as a research associate and a member of the company’s College Management Development Program.
