NBC Sports reached a new agreement with The PGA of America to extend television rights of the Ryder Cup and the Senior PGA Championship through 2014, the network said Monday. “We look forward to continuing our relationship with the PGA of America and broadcasting the Ryder Cup through 2014.

“In our 15 years of broadcasting the Ryder Cup, we have been blessed with some extremely exciting competitions that have led to such dramatic broadcasts,” said Dick Ebersol, chairman of NBC Universal Sports & Olympics. “The pride and genuine nationalism displayed by the players at the Ryder Cup makes it a unique event that sports fans can identify with as something very special.”
