CBS Wins Week in Viewers, Ties ABC, Fox in Adults 18-49

CBS won the week ended Aug. 7 in total viewers and was part of the three-way tie with ABC and Fox for the top spot in the adults 18 to 49 demographic, while Fox’s summer reality series “Hell’s Kitchen” tied CBS’s “CSI” for the top show in the advertiser-friendly demo.

“Kitchen” scored a 4.4 rating in adults 18 to 49, according to Nielsen Media Research. That equaled a repeat of “CSI” for the No. 1 spot. The Tuesday edition of CBS’s “Big Brother 6” scored a 3.6, followed by CBS’s “Without a Trace” (3.4) and CBS’s “CSI: Miami” and Fox’s “Family Guy” (both 3.2).

In total viewers, CBS took all top five spots for the week, with “CSI” (13.9 million), “Trace” (11.8 million), “CSI: Miami” (10.2 million), “NCIS” (9.4 million), and “Two and a Half Men” (9.4 million).

In adults 18 to 49, CBS, ABC and Fox all scored a 2.2 for the week, followed by NBC (2.0), UPN (1.0) and The WB (0.9).

In total viewers CBS garnered 7.4 million, followed by ABC (6.2 million), NBC (6.1 million), Fox (5.1 million), UPN (2.6 million) and The WB (2.0 million).
