NBC has promoted Greg Downey to VP of network and branded entertainment business affairs for NBC Entertainment.

Mr. Downey will handle business affairs for both the broadcast network and NBC Universal cable-branded entertainment teams, in addition to day-to-day business affairs responsibilities across all of NBC’s dayparts.

Mr. Downey served as director of business affairs after joining NBC in June 2003. Previously he worked for the United States Olympic Committee in Colorado Springs, Colo., in business development, corporate sponsorship and marketing. Mr. Downey also worked as VP of Jim Kelly Enterprises in Buffalo, N.Y.
