Starting this weekend ESPN will carry six weeks of college football games on its ESPN 360 custom broadband service. That includes more than 24 live games online, up from seven last year. The online coverage includes three games that are exclusive to the broadband service, including games featuring Purdue and Virginia. The ESPN 360 service is available as a part of some cable operators’ high-speed service. The online college football coverage entails bringing trucks, announcers and production teams on location, similar to live TV coverage, ESPN said.
