Bruce Perlmutter is leaving MSNBC. He was executive producer of “Deborah Norville Tonight,” which left the MSNBC lineup in January just shy of a year after launch.

MSNBC President Rick Kaplan, for whom Mr. Perlmutter had worked at CNN, deployed Mr. Perlmutter as an interim prime-time coordinator after Phil Griffin left his position of VP for prime-time programming at MSNBC to become executive in charge of NBC’s “Today” show in late April.

An MSNBC spokesman said Mr. Perlmutter, whose last day at MSNBC will be this Friday, is leaving to pursue other opportunities.
