‘Martha,’ ‘Tyra’ Drop on Day 2; ‘Alex,’ ‘Eye’ Hold Steady

In their second day in syndication, talk strips “Martha” and “The Tyra Banks Show” saw slight declines while new courtroom strips “Judge Alex” and “Eye for an Eye” remained even from their debuts.

NBC Universal’s “Martha” scored an average 2.3 household rating for its primary runs in 50 metered markets Tuesday, down 4 percent from its 2.4 rating Monday. Warner Bros.’ “Tyra Banks” garnered a 1.2 in 51 metered markets, down 8 percent from its debut performance.

“Martha” and “Tyra” each had individual market successes. In New York on WNBC-TV at 11 a.m. (ET), “Martha” grew from a 2.6 rating Monday to a 3.1, taking the No. 2 spot in the time period and overtaking WABC-TV’s “The View.”

In Greenville, S.C., on WSPA-TV, “Tyra” was No. 1 at 10 a.m. with a 4.5, beating the third hour of perennial winner “Today.” “Tyra” was up 13 percent in the market from Monday’s 4.0.

Twentieth’s “Judge Alex” scored a 1.8 in 52 metered markets, even with its performance Monday. Atlas’ “Eye for an Eye” garnered a 0.6 in 36 metered markets, which was also even with its debut performance.

New off-network sitcoms saw growth. Twentieth’s “Bernie Mac” scored a 1.7 in 50 metered markets, growing 6 percent from its debut. Buena Vista’s “My Wife and Kids” had a 1.5 in 49 metered markets, a 7 percent increase over its 1.5 rating on Monday.
