Berg to Head News Operations for Fox Stations

Fox Television Stations Group announced Monday that Sharri Berg has been promoted to senior VP of news operations for the station group.

Ms. Berg will continue to head news operations for Fox News in addition to her new duties with the station group.

As part of her new responsibilities, Ms. Berg will work to ensure production and operation coordination among the Fox stations, Fox News Channel and Twentieth Television. She reports to Jack Abernethy, CEO of Fox Television Stations Group.

Ms. Berg joined Fox News in 1996 as manager of satellite operations. She was promoted to director of field operations two years later, and then to director of newsgathering and operations a year later. In 2001, Ms. Berg was appointed VP of news operations.

She began her career as a sports production assistant at Washington CBS affiliate WUSA-TV, and later held several positions at Twentieth Television and Worldwide Television News.
