The National Cable & Telecommunications Association has pulled its 2006 annual National Show out of Hurricane Katrina-ravaged New Orleans and is moving it to Atlanta, the organization said Monday.

The dates for the NCTA’s 55th annual get-together are April 9-11, 2006. The show will be located in the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, home of Cox Communications, Turner Broadcasting and The Weather Channel.

The NCTA last held its National Show in Atlanta in 1998. The NCTA said it committed to holding the 2008 National Show in New Orleans. The 2007 event is slated for Las Vegas.
