Fisher Communications, the Seattle-based owner of television and radio stations, said late Tuesday it has named Colleen Brown president and CEO of the company, replacing Benjamin Tucker, who is leaving the company to pursue other interests.

Ms. Brown will begin her new job Oct. 10. She comes to Fisher with more than 26 years of media experience, working for Belo, Lee Enterprises and Gannett.

Fisher owns nine network-affiliated television stations and 27 radio stations. The company also has a 50 percent interest in a 10th television station.
