Schulman Promoted at Buena Vista

Irv Schulman has been named senior VP of advertising sales and marketing for Buena Vista Television advertising sales. The announcement was made Monday by Howard Levy, executive VP of advertising sales at the company, to whom he will report.

In his newly expanded role, Mr. Schulman will add management responsibility for Buena Vista Television’s advertising marketing and research group while retaining his previous responsibilities as VP of East Coast advertising sales.

Mr. Schulman joined the company’s advertising sales department as an account executive in 1997, and was elevated to director the next year before being named VP of East Coast sales in 1999. Before joining Buena Vista, Mr. Schulman spent seven years with Grey Advertising, where he worked on a variety of accounts, including Warner Bros., Domino’s Pizza, Hasbro and Ethan Allen.

He began his professional career at Backer Spielvogel Bates as an assistant buyer in 1990 after graduating with a communications degree from the University of Southern California.
