CBS Sports on Monday promoted Tony Petitti to executive VP. He will take over day-to-day operations from CBS Sports President Sean McManus, whose duties were expanded last week when he received the additional title of president of CBS News.

Mr. Petitti has been executive producer of CBS Sports and worked with Mr. McManus to bring NFL games back to the network. He joined Mr. McManus at CBS Sports in 1997. Mr. McManus became general manager of WCBS-TV in New York in 1999 and returned to the sports division in 2002.
