Univision Communications announced Monday that it has named Michael Wortsman as president of the Spanish-language broadcaster’s television group.

Mr. Wortsman had been co-president of the television group with Tom Arnost, but Mr. Arnost resigned last week, leaving Mr. Wortsman to assume his duties.

Before being named co-president, Mr. Wortsman was executive VP of corporate development for Univision’s TV group from 1993 to 1996, and previously served as station manager for KUSI-TV in San Diego.

The company also announced that Charles Stuart was named executive VP and director of sales for the TV group, reporting to Mr. Wortsman. He previously served as Univision’s executive VP of national sales.
