ESPNU Lands Charter Sponsors

ESPNU announced Wednesday that it has signed four charter sponsors: Allstate, Buffalo Wild Wings, Cisco and Energizer.

The sponsorship packages include marketing rights exclusivity for the sponsor’s category and tailored, integrated media and marketing opportunities across many of ESPN’s branded media platforms. ESPNU is a new ESPN network focusing on college sports.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but each advertiser will have ESPNU-branded on-air features that can run on a variety of ESPN’s branded media platforms, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN.com, ESPN The Magazine, ESPN Radio, ESPN Wireless and ESPNEWS.

Advertisers will be able to utilize the ESPNU logo as a marketing tool within their various communications efforts. ESPNU is currently available in about 8 million U.S. households.
