Teen rap artist Romeo has dropped out of training for the upcoming second season of ABC’s reality competition “Dancing With the Stars,” but will be replaced by his father P. Miller, better known as recording artist “Master P.”

Romeo was injured while playing basketball, making him unable to compete in the physically demanding series, which requires contestants to master ballroom dancing.

Master P, who has sold over 75 million records, played professional basketball last summer for the Sacramento Kings. He will be partnered with professional ballroom dancer Ashly Delgrosso.

“Dancing” premieres with a two-hour special Thursday, Jan. 5, at 8 p.m. (ET). The show is produced in America by BBC Worldwide, with Richard Hopkins and Conrad Green executive producing.
