‘Masterminds’ Given Firm Syndie Go for Fall 2006

New Line Television has cleared the Court TV series “Masterminds” for a weekend syndication run in more than 60 percent of the country, including 18 out of the top 20 markets, giving the show a firm go for fall 2006. The announcement was made Monday by David Spiegelman, New Line’s senior executive VP of domestic television distribution and marketing.

Clearances include 10 Fox-owned stations in top markets including New York’s WNYW-TV/WWOR-TV in New York, WFLD-TV/WPWR-TV in Chicago, WTXF-TV in Philadelphia, WFXT-TV in Boston, and Dallas’ KDFW-TV/KDFI-TV. Cox Television has also cleared “Masterminds” on WSB-TV in Atlanta, WFTV-TV/WRDQ-TV in Orlando, Fla., and WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh. In addition, the WB100+ group has cleared the series.

Additional clearances in the top 20 markets include CBS’s KCAL-TV/KCBS-TV in Los Angeles and WCCO-TV in Minneapolis, Granite’s KBWB-TV in San Francisco, Hearst’s WMOR-TV in Tampa, Fla., Winston Broadcasting’s WBNX-TV in Cleveland and Sunbeam’s WSVN-TV in Miami.
