A handful of senior media experts have been named to a management advisory group of consult with Paxson Communications CEO Brandon Burgess on development and execution of the company’s initiatives and strategic plan now that Paxson has completed its debt refinancing.

The group announced Tuesday includes Tom Wolzien, founder of Wolzien LLP; Brent Magid, CEO of Frank N. Magid Associates; veteran syndication executive Steve Rosenberg; independent development and programming executive Narendra Reddy; and interactive design pioneer Ed Schlossberg, who will apply his expertise to Paxson’s brand and positioning strategies.

“The interest and enthusiasm these industry leaders bring to our company is an indication of our ability and commitment to attract top talent, partners and investors to grow our business going forward,” said Mr. Burgess, a former NBC Universal executive, in the announcement.

Mr. Burgess became CEO of Paxson after a settlement was reached in the troubled relationship between Paxson, owner of the country’s largest TV station group, and NBCU in which founder Bud Paxson stepped down as chairman and NBCU was given 18 months to purchase Paxson or find a buyer or strategic partner for the company.
