Wolf, Maddox to Lead Syndie Sales at Sony

Jeffrey Wolf and Steve Maddox have both been promoted to executive VP of syndication sales for Sony Pictures Television. The pair will report to John Weiser, president of distribution for the company.

Mr. Wolf and Mr. Maddox will share oversight of domestic syndication sales, library sales and series launches, as well as Sony’s five domestic sales offices.

Mr. Wolf served as senior VP for the northern region, managing the day-to-day operations of the company’s New York and Chicago offices. Previously he was senior VP of syndication and business development, managing the operations of the New York office as well as program sales issues within Sony’s business-to-business Web site. Before joining Sony in 1993, Mr. Wolf worked for King World Productions and sales rep firm Seltel.

Mr. Maddox most recently served as senior VP of syndicated sales for the southeastern region, where he supervised Sony’s Atlanta and Dallas offices. Mr. Maddox, who joined Sony as an account executive, became responsible for the Atlanta office in 2001 before taking on the Dallas office the next year. Prior to Sony, Mr. Maddox worked for Orion Television.
