America Online said Tuesday it has signed four sponsors for the launch of its In2TV Internet television service. The advertisers are Intel, Kia, Hershey’s and Kraft. All sponsors will have video advertisements on the site when it launches Wednesday.
In2TV, which will offer programs from the Warner Bros. television library free over the Internet, will show only one commercial per pod in its programming, for a total of one to two minutes per 30-minute program.
In addition to the 30 programs announced last year-which include “Welcome Back, Kotter,” “Growing Pains,” “F Troop” and “Kung Fu”-AOL said it has acquired the rights to “The Jamie Foxx Show,” “My Sister Sam” and “The Hogan Family.” Those shows will be added later this year.
