’24’s’ Sutherland Signs Production Deal With 20th Century Fox TV

As part of a co-production deal signed with 20th Century Fox Television, “24” star and co-executive producer Kiefer Sutherland has signed a multiyear deal to stay with the thriller drama and ascend to executive producer. The deal was announced Monday by company co-Presidents Dana Walden and Gary Newman.

Under the terms of the new deal, which is effective in June, Mr. Sutherland will hire a development executive and begin to develop and executive produce series programming for all the networks. Mr. Sutherland joins “24’s” current executive producers, Joel Surnow, Robert Cochran, Howard Gordon and Evan Katz.

Mr. Sutherland has garnered a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild awards for his role as Jack Bauer on “24.” He is represented by Suzan Bymel of Management 360, the William Morris Agency and attorney Jamie Feldman.
