Bravo said Tuesday it has renewed “Top Chef” for a second season.

The network also said that it is expanding season one of “Top Chef” by adding a reunion special and a two-week finale. The reunion show will air May 10, and the finale will begin May 17 and finish May 24. The finale will feature live voting results from viewers via cellphones, the Internet and interactive cable remotes, which the network says is the first time a three-platform vote has been taken on TV in the United States.

On April 26 the show drew 1.3 million total viewers and a 1.29 Nielsen household rating, its highest of the season.

Bravo will begin a search for contestants for season two with open calls for cooking talent in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco and Las Vegas beginning next week.
