ABC News has hired print veteran Jan Crawford Greenburg to cover political, legal and cultural issues as a Washington-based correspondent.

Ms. Greenburg, who will start at ABC in July, has worked as legal affairs reporter for the Chicago Tribune and as the Supreme Court correspondent for “The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer” on PBS. She’s also been a legal analyst for CBS News.

She is currently writing a book on the Supreme Court for Penguin Press, drawing on sources and contacts developed during the past decade she has covered the court.
