ABC Wins Thursday With NBA Finals

ABC was the top network Thursday night in the adults 18 to 49 demographic, with game four of the NBA Finals the No.1 program for the night in the demo.

The game, in which the Miami Heat beat the Dallas Mavericks to bring the series to a 2-2 tie, scored a 4.0 preliminary national rating in the demo, according to Nielsen Media Research.

The No. 2 program for Thursday was NBC’s special 9 p.m. (ET) “Dateline,” which featured an interview with singer Britney Spears. “Dateline” scored a 3.8 in the demo.

Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” took a misstep, scoring a 3.1, down 24 percent from its rating last week in the time period. That tied for third-highest-rated program for the night with NBC’s 10 p.m. offering, the summer drama “Windfall,” which was down 9 percent from its debut last week.
