Mitch Feinman has been promoted to senior VP of Fox Mobile Entertainment from VP.

Mr. Feinman will be responsible for creating new distribution channels for Fox Mobile Entertainment’s content worldwide.

Fox Mobile calls Mr. Feinman the originator of the term “mobisode,” meaning a TV episode created exclusively for mobile phones. He was responsible for releasing six series of mobisodes, including “24: Conspiracy” and the first ad-supported scripted mobisode series, “Prison Break: Proof of Innocence.”

Before joining Fox, Feinman co-founded and headed business development and marketing efforts for LocalAlert, a wireless service informing New York-area residents of weather, traffic and other “hyperlocal” information via text messaging to cellphones. He also spent several years with The Walt Disney Co., most recently as VP of business development and marketing for new media at the ABC division.
