Fox Launching Five Series in August

Fox is launching five of its fall series in August, getting an early start on the season to get more episodes in front of viewers before postseason baseball disrupts its schedule in October.

On Monday, Aug. 21, Fox will air the second-season premiere of drama “Prison Break” at 8 p.m. (ET), followed by the series premiere of conspiracy thriller “Vanished” at 9 p.m.

On Wednesday, Aug. 30, the second season of forensic drama “Bones” debuts at 8 p.m., with new legal drama series “Justice” premiering at 9 p.m.

On Thursday, Aug. 31, Fox will air a two-hour premiere of its reality singing competition “Duets.”

Fox will launch its new Tuesday lineup Sept. 5 with the series premiere of hostage drama “Standoff” at 8 p.m. and the return of medical drama “House” at 9 p.m.

The network’s new Thursday comedies, “‘Til Death” at 8 p.m. and “Happy Hour” at 8:30 p.m., premiere Sept. 7, along with the 9 p.m. time period premiere of “Duets.” Previous Thursday time period holder “The O.C.” returns Nov. 2, after the completion of postseason baseball.

Friday, Sept. 8 marks the season premiere of “Nanny 911” at 8 p.m. and the launch of the “Duets” results show at 9 p.m. “Trading Spouses: Meet Your New Mommy” returns to Fridays at 9 p.m. on Oct. 6.

Fox’s Saturday reality crime block returns Sept. 9, while its Sunday night comedy block reappears Sept. 10. The network’s new weekly late-night entry “Talk Show With Spike Feresten” premieres Saturday, Sept. 16 at midnight, after the season premiere of “MadTV” at 11 p.m.
