Bill Hilary, president and CEO of BBC America, is joining ad buyer Magna Global as president of Magna Global Entertainment.

In the newly created position, Mr. Hilary will lead MAGNA’s entertainment division, creating custom branded programming opportunities for clients. He will also oversee international sales and develop new opportunities in the emerging media and digital arena.

“Magna has a heritage as one of the top producers of branded content, and as the media landscape continues to fragment, the need for strategic programming that meets advertiser needs has become increasingly important,” Bill Cella, chairman and chief CEO of Magna Global, said in a statement Monday.
