Levison Promoted to Top Comedy Development Job at Fox

Susan Levison has been named top comedy development executive at Fox Broadcasting Company.

As senior VP of comedy development, Ms. Levison will supervise the network’s comedy development efforts, working as the company’s key creative liaison with studios, writers and production executives.

The announcement was made Wednesday by Craig Erwich, executive VP of programming for the network, to whom she will report.

Ms. Levison was formerly director, and then VP, of drama development at Fox, where she was involved in the creation of “House,” “Prison Break” and the upcoming “Vanished.” Before joining drama development she was director of alternative programming, where she worked on “The Simple Life,” “Temptation Island,” “Love Cruise” and “Boot Camp.” She joined Fox in 1999 as an assistant in the alternative programming department.

Ms. Levison began her career in television as an assistant in the TV literary department at Creative Artists Agency.
