‘Simple Life’ Scores for E!

The premiere of “Simple Life: ‘Til Death Do Us Part” gave E! a ratings boost Sunday, drawing 1.3 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. That’s more than four times E!’s prime-time average. Numbers for adult demos such as 18 to 34 and 18 to 49 more than tripled from the network’s average.

E! acquired “Simple Life” after Fox declined to pick up the fourth installment of the show.

The acquisition was a major recent initiative for the network, along with the hiring of on-air talent Ryan Seacrest.
