TNT Enjoys Double-Hitter

TNT enjoyed an impressive night of original procedural debuts Monday.

The premiere of TNT’s new paramedic drama “Saved” delivered a solid 4.2 overnight rating, according to Nielsen Media Research, while the second-season debut of “The Closer” delivered a 6.4, up 49 percent from last season’s average. If the figures for “Saved” hold up in the nationals, the show will become cable’s highest-rated new scripted debut of the year.

The series should help TNT as it continues to wrestle with USA for the title of top-ranked basic cable network.
