The Federal Communications Commission next week will probably approve the $17 billion purchase of cable-television company Adelphia Communications Corp. by Time Warner Inc. and Comcast Corp.

A vote on the merger is set for the FCC’s July 13 meeting.

The FCC may impose limited conditions related to sports with some language limiting price discrimination against satellite providers, according to news reports.
