Fox Attracts Biggest Younger Audience

Fox won the biggest audiences for the week ended July 2 among 18- to 49-year-old viewers, while NBC scored the highest rated program for the week in that demographic with its summer reality series “America’s Got Talent.”

Wednesday’s original episode of “Talent” at 9 p.m. (ET) scored a 3.8 in the demographic, a number that included live viewing plus same day viewing via digital video recorders, according to Nielsen Media Research.

An original episode of Fox’s “Hell’s Kitchen” on Monday took second place with a 3.7, followed by a repeat of the medical drama “House” and the Wednesday edition of the summer reality series “So You Think You Can Dance,” which both scored a 3.5. The Thursday edition of “Dance” rounded out the top five with a 3.4.

Fox averaged the best for the week in adults 18 to 49 with a 2.4, followed by CBS (2.0), NBC (1.9), ABC (1.5), Univision (1.4), UPN (0.8), The WB (0.7) and Telemundo (0.3).
