CNN Exchange Snags Dell as First Advertiser

Aug 7, 2006  •  Post A Comment

Dell Computers has signed on as the first advertiser on CNN Exchange, the news network’s site for user-generated content.

As a charter sponsor, Dell will get category exclusivity on the site, which launched Aug. 1. Beginning later this month it will have 30-second pre-roll video ads, a form of advertising unusual on user-generated sites. Dell will also have banners and will sponsor the Quick Vote homepage, the Quick Vote results gallery and a Quick Vote bug on the main page of CNN Exchange.

“As a leader in the high-tech arena, Dell is a forward-thinking client who saw immediately the advantage of this exciting, innovative new initiative and the impact it will have on their customer base,” said Greg D’Alba, chief operating officer of CNN Ad Sales and Marketing. “This is another great example of the tremendous reach CNN Ad Sales can deliver for our clients.”
