HBO is giving quirky New Zealand folk-parody duo Flight of the Conchords their own comedy series, an HBO spokesperson said.

The premium cable network will order 11 episodes of the show, which is tentatively set to share the title of the act. Sources said the show will be in the semi-scripted style of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and focused on the fictionalized lives of Conchords duo Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement. The series will also feature their original songs.

The Conchords gained recognition last year when the group landed a BBC Radio 2 series, a stint on HBO’s stand-up series “One Night Stand” and appearances on Conan O’Brien and Craig Ferguson.
