Fox will offer online sneak peeks of the first seven minutes of “The Simpsons” premiere starting today, part of a promotional campaign for the 17-year-old animated comedy.

The episode, sponsored by Burger King, will post on three Fox Interactive Media sites — MySpace.com, Fox.com and IGNTV.com, the company said Friday in a statement. The online offering will also include behind-the-scenes footage on the making of an upcoming episode.

Fox will also promote the sneak peek on AskMen.com, FoxSports.com and RottenTomatoes.com sites.

The “Simpsons” effort builds on Fox’s aggressive approach to use its Web assets to promote new shows. The network is also offering for free the first three episodes of “Vanished” and “Prison Break” on more than 50 Web properties, including Fox.com, AOL Video and Google Video.
