The CW Network announced Tuesday it has signed a long-term affiliation agreement with Montecito Broadcast Group’s KHON-DT, the digital station operated by the company’s Fox affiliate in Honolulu.
KHON’s sister station, KHON-TV, will help promote the launch of The CW on the digital station by showcasing The CW’s Tuesday and Wednesday programs with one-time prime-time broadcasts from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday (Fox’s World Series coverage airs in the afternoons in Hawaii). The entire CW lineup will roll out starting Oct. 23.
Honolulu is the 72nd-largest TV market in the country.
