ABC, winner of the November sweeps period, stumbled in the last night of the ratings contest as other networks’ shows set season-to-date records.

The CW’s “America’s Next Top Model,” Fox’s “Bones” and NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” all had their highest ratings of the season. ABC came in fourth place for the night as underperforming game show “Show Me the Money” and freshman drama “Day Break” failed to win over audiences.

CBS led the night by a wide margin, earning a 4.4 average rating among adults 18 to 49. compared to second-place NBC’s 3.1, according to preliminary Nielsen Media Research figures. That finish might give CBS enough momentum to break its tie with NBC for second place in the November sweeps in the national ratings released later today.

The fall finale of “Jericho” started CBS’s night with a 3.1, a five-week high for the show, followed by “Criminal Minds” (which at 5.0 was the evening’s top show) and “CSI: NY” (5.1).

NBC’s tree-lighting ceremony of “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” drew a 2.6, followed by the season finale of “Loser” (3.6) and “Medium” (3.0). The latter rebounded 20 percent from last week’s all-time low, though the Wednesday-night numbers still ranked as the drama’s second-lowest performance to date.

Fox placed third with “Bones” (3.2), followed by a “Bones” rerun (2.3).

ABC followed up in fourth place with “Money” (2.2) and “Day Break” (1.8) – the two lowest-rated shows of the night among the top four networks. In the 10 p.m. slot, ABC’s “20/20” pulled a 2.8.

The CW had its season-high “Top Model” (2.8) and a strong-performing episode of “One Tree Hill” (1.8).
