Distributor Debmar-Mercury has landed the exclusive domestic syndication rights to veteran game show “Family Feud” from FremantleMedia North America, the parties announced Tuesday.

The multiyear deal immediately shifts rights for the program from longtime distributor Tribune Entertainment and give Mercury another keystone property.

“‘Family Feud’ complements our portfolio and helps us offer a well-rounded selection of programming to stations,” said Debmar-Mercury co-President Mort Marcus. “We wanted to get into the game show market with a perennial and after 30 years on the air, ‘Feud’ continues to deliver.”

Debmar-Mercury currently distributes “South Park,” “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” and the “Surreal Life” franchise, among others. The distributor was acquired by Lionsgate in July.

“Feud” is currently hosted by John O’Hurley and is in its 30th year.
