Fox News Channel renewed carriage contracts with small systems represented by the National Cable Television Cooperative, guaranteeing about 3 million viewers continued access to the most watched cable news network.

Fox didn’t provide details of the multi-year deal in a Wednesday announcement by Tim Carry, senior VP of affiliate sales for the news network. A Fox News spokesperson declined to comment.

Sources familiar with the agreement describe it as similar to the deal Fox News Channel recently announced with Cablevision, the biggest cable provider in the New York region. Cablevision’s renewal with Fox extends five years and averages 75 cents per subscriber over the course of the deal, people familiar with that deal said.
