NBC Continues Monday Winning Streak

NBC’s one-two punch of “Deal or No Deal” and “Heroes” once again gave the channel a Monday night ratings win.

The Peacock Network handily dominated the field last night, with “Deal” starting off the evening with a 5.2 rating among adults 18 to 49, according to preliminary Nielsen Media Research figures. “Heroes” followed with a 6.7, and then viewership once again fell off strongly for “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” (3.3).

After two years in the ratings doldrums, NBC has made gains this season largely due to “Heroes” and “Sunday Night Football.”

CBS’s comedy block had a relatively strong night, with “How I Met Your Mother” (3.5), “The Class” (3.1), “Two and a Half Men” (4.8), “Old Christine” (3.7) all solid performers. At 10 p.m., however, “CSI: Miami” delivered its lowest-rated original episode of the season (5.6).

ABC’s reality block rebounded due to the two-hour season finale of “The Bachelor: Rome” (4.0). Both “Bachelor” and “Wife Swap” (3.5) delivered their best numbers of the season.

Fox’s “fall finale” of “Prison Break” (4.0) tied its highest rating of the season.

The CW’s comedy block averaged a 1.4 for the night.
