Showtime has ordered a third season of its suburban comedy “Weeds,” the network announced Thursday.

The network is bringing the show back for another 15 episodes, which will begin production this spring for a summer debut.

“‘Weeds’ is quintessential Showtime: bold, provocative, premium television with production values at the top of the food chain,” said Showtime President of Entertainment Robert Greenblatt. “This acclaimed show will be the centerpiece of our comedy strategy for several years to come.”

“Weeds” is produced by Lionsgate.
