There will be a memorial honoring the late Broadcasting & Cable business editor John Higgins in New York next week.

MTV Networks will host the event on Tuesday, Dec. 12, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at The Lodge, located at 1515 Broadway in Manhattan. Those wishing to attend should contact Denise Galarza at MTV (212-258-8572 or denise.galarza@mtvstaff.com).

Mr. Higgins died last month of a heart attack at the age of 45. The veteran journalist worked as finance editor for Multichannel News for eight years, then joined B&C in 1997.
