Think Tank: Off Balance Sheet
Financing โ€ฆ Honestly!

Off balance sheet companies were created to help finance new ventures. Hundreds of U.S. companies are estimated to be keeping trillions of dollars in debt in these subsidiaries and partnerships, skirting the consolidation rules. Content creators of film and TV can use these entities to finance their projects outside of or in partnership with the establishment. Because moving debt off the balance sheet is slightly harder for example, in Europe than it is in the U.S., panelists offer a global perspective discussing opportunities such as Irish tax credits, UK sale and leaseback, German equity firms and Canadian subsidies with real life experiences from projects financed around the world.
