Viacom has reached a new carriage agreement with Time Warner Cable covering MTV Networks and BET Networks, the company said Monday.
The deal renews carriage of such Viacom networks as MTV, VH1, Spike and BET. Time Warner Cable will expand distribution of LOGO, Viacom’s gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender focused channel, and will launch MHD, the high-definition music service.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In addition, the new deal includes digital distribution rights for MTV World, LOGO, MTV Tr3s and MHD, as well as a package of free on-demand content from MTVN and BETN.
