A “24”-fueled Fox scored its first Monday night ratings win with entertainment programming all season, edging out a “Heroes”-heavy NBC.

Fox’s combination of “Prison Break,” which earned a 4.1 rating among adults 18 to 49 according to preliminary Nielsen Media Research reports, and “24,” which scored a 5.4 rating, gave the network a 4.8 average for the evening. Both shows performed on par with last week’s performances.

NBC had stronger shows than Fox in the first two hours of primetime, with “Deal or No Deal” (4.8) and “Heroes” (6.1), even though the latter posted its lowest rating since Oct. 16. At 10 p.m., NBC’s “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” (3.0) sunk the network’s nightly average down to a 4.6. Fox does not program in the 10 p.m. hour.

CBS ranked third in the ratings, averaging a 3.2 with a night of repeats. ABC was fourth with a repeat of “Wife Swap” (3.2) followed by an original “Supernanny” (3.5) and “What About Brian” (2.7).

The CW had original episodes for its comedy block, with “What About Chris” (1.1), “All of Us” (1.0), “Girlfriends” (1.0) and “The Game” (1.1).
