Verizon Plans Interactive Video Guide

Verizon plans to roll out a new interactive programming guide that lets video customers access content from the TV, Internet and their personal music and photo collections. Verizon demonstrated the service at the Consumer Electronics Show on Sunday in Las Vegas.

With the new guide, consumers can look for programming on broadcast, video-on-demand and their digital video recorder with one search. That kind of searching isn’t available on most cable systems today.

The phone company will introduce the new guide first to consumers in New Jersey and will introduce it in all 10 states where it offers TV service by mid-year.
